It’s been such quite a while since slasher fans have been skilled a genuinely incredible expansion to the sub-kind that a flick called The Windmill Massacre, in which the included reprobate is THE MILLER (frightening) may be seen to rub salt in the injury. Joyfully, for those of us who can’t abandon covered executioners stalking high schoolers in far-flung territories, this is one of the best cutting edge takes yet. Much more shockingly, it’s set in The Netherlands.
The setting is critical, on the grounds that The Windmill Massacre is an extremely Dutch film, from a Dutch group (the folks behind the ghastly Frankenstein’s Army). Windmills figure unmistakably kids draw them, grown-ups paint and photo them –and Amsterdam is shot affectionately.
